Speedometer not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 98
Silverado, well
driving the other
day I hit a bump
and all of a
sudden my
speedometer,
tachometer, and
your indicator
lights all went
out. Now my
transmission acts
like it's not
shifting correctly?
Where should I
start? I had
someone suggest
changing out my
gauge panel? My
gauges on the
right hand side all
still work? Please
help...

Step one check your fuses and ground wires Your transmission not shifting at the right marks I would search up your trucks shift points and watch it to be sure if they are off any of like five sensors probably might have been damaged
I did check all my fuses inside and out, and they were all good. Not exactly sure what you mean by shift points? I was told that maybe due to the speedometer and tachometer not working that the transmission didn't know when to shift? Is that possible? Thanks in advance!
Okay now I checked all my grounds and they were good just realized that my odometer is not working but my cruise control still works? I watched a video on YouTube suggesting it might be my ignition? Could that be possible?
It ended up being my ignition switch. Ty for all answers!
