no start

Asked by Guru59CQ5 Dec 18, 2017 at 11:19 PM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab RWD

Question type: General

I have been fighting an occasion no start condition in my 97 C1500. It always happens at the most inconvenient time. I have tuned it up, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, changed crank sensor, and yet it continues to leave me stranded after working for weeks at a time. I took it to a family friend's garage, good mechanic, all the scanners, and equipment, etc. He has discovered a code for security system, that this truck isn't suppose to be equipped with. Problem being, he, we cannot find accurate wiring diagram with correct color coded wiring. Any ideas where this information might be located ? The last 10 digits of the VIN are W7VE132354 proving it is a 1997 truck.
