distributor problem can someone help?

Asked by GuruM2D2G May 27, 2020 at 11:14 AM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab 4WD

1997 chevy silverado 5.7 every 6 months or so distributor and rotor gets
corrosion like battery cables and wont start what can cause this?

Moisture is getting in there. Maybe the cap is cracked.

Use dielectric grease to help seal out moisture. A rubber boot might also help.
