Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1995 Chevrolet K1500 4X4 A.T. V8 4L60-E ;

I have a Brake fluid leak coming from where the Hose meets the 'Brake
distributor/Block' where the two wheel lines go that supplies the brake fluid to
each tire .. i have read that i can re flare the line behind the crack , but would
it be easier to just do a brand new brake line ? , also should i buy brand new
line and bolts/fittings ? , thank you it is very appreciated.

VERY CARFULLY or you'll end up replacing them all , If it were mine being a 1995 I'd replace all the lines ( 4 brake lines , brake hoses , fuel and vent lines to the gas tank , transmission cooling lines ) Their probably junk too , Why do a 1/2 as_ job anyhow , Fix it right the first time and it won't come back and bite you in the as_ again , Put All New lines on

I would have a shop fix it for you. Brake lines require a double lapped flare that is sometimes a real pain to make properly. Do NOT under any circumstances use any compression fittings on the braking system as they will not hold under the high pressure of the braking system.
