repairs not working correctly

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was doing some maintenance  to my 1994 chevy cheyenne c
1500 truck and was cleaning the harness plug on IAC valve and
it fell apart. I bought a replacement, installed it and the motor is
idling high. I replaced the IAC valve and PCV valve and it
continues to idle really high and fast. Cannot figure out the
problem. Is it a vacuum line I'm missing or is the computer brain
not sending the right command?

Do not mess with the iac, you cannot set anything on it prior to installation. I agree, sounds like the wires went spliced together right
