how does igntion system work on 93 5.7

93 k1500 w/5.7 engine.  New bosch fuel pump, filter, cap, rotor, wires and plugs.  Engine cranks fine but will not start without ether.  Will start fine if it doesn't sit for more than 2 hours.

will follow troubleshooting for sensors and report. It usually starts fine after first start of the day, as long as it doesn't sit for more than two hours. Does the pickup in distributor control spark or injectors under 400 rpms? Thank you for your help.
