gas into a platter body it will run

Sounds like a fuel pump, change the fuel filter, and check the fuel pressure. It should be 9 to 13 lbs.

    93 k1500 w/5.7 engine. New bosch fuel pump, filter, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. Engine cranks fine but will not start without ether. Will start fine if it doesn't sit for more than 2 hours.
