Will a 98 chevy cab work on a 92....is the wire hook up different on the dash or the same...

I have a 92 chevy Z71 cab is bad I found a 8 chevy
cab will it work on mine without having to change
wireing in dash

The wiring thing, you would have to change since the 92' has an OBD1 computer in it and the 98' has the OBDII in it.

Best way is to take pictures of each and look to see what is different and needs to be changed or added. You have changes all the time in component sizes and added items, or items no longer used due to new technology on newer vehicles. Find a 98 and look to compare. Maybe a trip to a body repair shop may help also since these people fix them all the time.
