Will the short bed box from a 1996 GMC Sierra fit a 1992 K1500?

I have an opportunity to purchase a pick up bed off of a 1996 GMC Sierra for a VERY good
price; however, I'm not sure it will fit my 1992 K1500 Chevy pickup shortbed.

HELP!!

As long as both short boxes are from the same cab style. They both have to be regular cabs with short boxes or both have to be extended cabs with short boxes.
