Electronics shutoff while driving.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lost power steering and electronic controls and all gauges started oscillating up
and down, but engine still ran. When i try to start back up, the battery is dead.
Is this an alternator issue? Will replacing battery do anything? It's only 2 years
old.

Sounds like a serious electrical problem , sounds like it's actually 14 years old , is there a vehicle history ?

No poor history that i know of. I bought it used from an international graduate student who bought it from a professor. is the best bet to have AutoZone scan it?
