Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when driving and after 15 20 miles run pwt light comes on,car goes into limp mode (like the
transmission is not connected so the car does not move I step on the gas but the car does not run.
I put the car in neutral shut the engine and after a few seconds perhaps a minute I can restart the engine
and put the car gear on and it continues to run. Sometimes this happens 3 times or more in a couple of
miles run.

Sounds like transmission, the torque converter maybe getting too hot/going bad. They overheat when they start going bad. Get a transmission serviced see if it goes away. If it doesn't it's gonna get pricey looking possibly at a rebuild/replacement. Good luck :) Hope that helps

Thank you for your prompt response, now I have a direction to follow. I had this xtype since day one with original 72k miles run so it is possible that some service to the transmission may be in order "hopefully" Thanks again Rachel...............jesus

have your transmission checked... too much friction = too much heat and tension.. check coolant and oil levels... does it have a similar system with transmission cooling too? check if they work and see if there's any leak...
