what do you think could be causing this?

Asked by oldsmobile91 Jul 05, 2014 at 07:09 PM about the 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 4 Dr LS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is one of those problems so far I
have replaced the fuel pressure
regulator, crankshaft senior, coil
packs plugs and wires only 1yrs old
and air filter clean. if you start the car
when it is cold it will run for
approximately 20 minutes once the
car warms up it stalls the car will
restart right away but it stalls right out
againwhen you push the gas the car
does not accelerate it's sputters like
its running out of gas and blows out
black smoke. The fuel pump is
running and car has full tank of gas I
did notice after the car stalls and sits
for a couple seconds a strange noise
comes out off the fuel pump like
vibration we've tried just about
everything we could think of hoping to
get some different ideas on what
we've already changed.

the coil under the distributor rotor under the cap was the culprit on my eighty eight.
