How to release shifter stuck in park

I found a diagram on a forum. It should be similar (it says 1998) If you want to fix the issue, I would recommend changing the solenoid and if that doesn't fix it try replacing the controller. (Check for fuses related to shift lock first) Let me know if you would like help locating / identifying the fuses. Make sure your brake lights are working before replacing these parts. If they don't light, replace your brake switch. Hope this helps.
