I's been parked for about 2 years. Put gas in and new battery. It started right up. I can't get it out of park for some reason. Any ideas?

yes. pound on bottom of the steering column with the heel of a shoe, or the handle of a hearty screwdriver...recon spiders got in there and just need to be told to move along now~

The gear select cable probably seized up in the past two years of inactivity, it's a bit of a pig to get to but should be an cheap job to replace yourself.
