rangerover 2004 Hit Road Debris Leak

What parts would cause severe operating issues on Rangerover04 when i
struck a large piece of debris.
Leaked tons of oil. Oil Pan doesnt seem to be damaged. what hoses or parts
are vulnerable to road debris that could cause all oil to leak out or any major
engine issues

They are saying the engine is no longer good. something about all oil leaked out....and something about a oil coolant pipe/hose/.....I cant seem to get a direct explanation as to how damage to the oil cooler line could cause leak and engine to fail...Can you pls expound? Thanks so very much- This was a 3 foot long piece of tire from big rig that flew up and ran over
