When I go to start it, it cranks and then finally starts. Why is it doing this?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2007 Rondo 4 cylinder LX and this has just started happening. My car has always started right up with no excessive cranking. Now it is happening more often that I have to crank it until it finally starts. I had the battery and alternator tested and they tested fine. What can this be?

Check air filter and have throttle body cleaned with throttle body spray have fuel filter changed it have not done so in a while also add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank
I found with my 2009 Rondo that taking the key out and turn it over before putting back in the ignition will do the trick. I was told that the cylinders are not lining up properly. Also see if using the spare key helps.
I have a 2008 kia rondo v6lx. Stop to put gas in it. Car won't start. Have to keep cranking it. Then it goes. I called kia. They have a recall on these models is it a 4 cyclinder. Not a 6 cyclinder. Which doesn't make since. If 4 cyclinder has this problem and there are 6 cyclinder is having this problem. Then they need also do a recall. Because the car can stop anytime without warning.
When stopping to fill up with gas. Shut engine off then without cranking car turn key to on position. Fill with gas. Then start car.. should run fine. This is what I do with my 2008 kia rondo.. leaving key in on position. Allows pressure to stay build up.. it's the fuel tank pressure sensor
I have an 08 Kia rondo and was having long cranking issues and It would eventually start. Once started it ran fine but once shut off same problem. I watch a video on YouTube regarding extended crank issues. I pulled the fuel pump from the gas tank. It had a broken clip on the fuel pressure line. I bought a 79 cent clamp and put it on and now it starts like a beauty. I hope this helps someone having the same issue.
