Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The window rolls down but when it come to rolling up its a no go. I checked by hand and it seems that the wires are both ruining correctly.  the top part of the motor the wire guide appeared  to be out of socket i placed it back in . The bottom felt to be in the correct position. Is it possible for the wire to have come off of the regulator?  Can that be repaired or am i taking a ride on replacement lane

You can try to run a hot wire to the motor and see if it will go both ways. If so, you know it's a bad switch.

Good Morning.. I have checked all things suggested within this forum. The motor and switches are working correctly. It is the regulator that went south. Does anyone here know if this can be fixed or is it something that has to be bought? Also when removing the rivets is it advisable to replace them as well or can screws be used in lieu of ? Thank you

Like most regulators made these days, the gear is probably made of junk plastic. I would see if I could score one at your local salvage yard or Ebay. If no luck, you will probably have to order from the dealer. I would use screws. Just make sure you use a lock washer.
