parts for headlight on 2002 Corvette

Asked by Tompkins Mar 05, 2012 at 11:03 AM about the 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 Corvette, driver's side headlight won't open/close. Mechanic says it's a problem that is more
common on the driver's side, due to orientation of the motor on that side, and that it's a 'clip' that's
broken. Am unable to find replacement parts! Anyone have a known source for after market parts for
this? Can't believe that Chevy doesn't make a part for a car that is historically a collectible car!

Thanks.

Contact any of the major Corvette supply dealers uch as: VanSteel at www.vansteel.com --- Crane Corvettes at www.cranecorvette.com, www.eckler.com or midamericamotorworks.com. If you cannot find it at one of those shops hit eBay for a complete unit and replace the whole thing. By the way, the orientation of the motor has nothing to do with the headlight assembly movement, the clip may be broken but disregard that foolishness.
