Brakes

Asked by AcuraIntegra99 May 19, 2018 at 09:27 AM about the 1999 Acura Integra LS Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need to replace brake pads on front end of my
Acura Integra se. Lots of scraping noise, metal in
metal. How can I tell if the rotors need to be
replaced as well.  And where can I find the
cheapest pads, as this vehicle is onky short term
use... don't want to sink large $ into something I'll
not be using much longer

If you hear scraping noise, you will need to, at least, resurface the rotors, that is, if they are not past that point and you are forced to replace them. Any auto parts store can sell you low priced pads, as far as rotors, they usually run around $20.00 to $30.00, the low quality.

there will probably be 2 screws in the rotors that have to come out with a screw gun or impact ,
