Please may I ask if it has a generator or an alternator? I can give you a better answer
Steve, don't get me wrong, if you know for fact you have a 1964½ I believe you. There is much debate about the 1964½ and 1965. I am not going to get in to that though. It did have a 289 HO (High Output) 289, a regular 289,a 260 V8 or a straight 6 that was in the Ford Falcon at the time Actual date of manufacture, and more. To tell if you have a TRUE '64½ see this..... http://www.mustangandfords.com/news/mustang-1964/
Some guys say there is no such thing as a true '64½, but I disagree. There IS. That's about as far as I want to step in to this. But they are worth upwards of $10,000 in good shape, ORIGINAL.

Thanks for getting back to me.I have a Generator, I also have two raceing flags inbeded in the center of the steiring wheel under the mustang cap, does that mean anything ? and it is a 289 with 4 barrel carb.
I also have two racing flags imbedded in the center of the steering wheel under the mustang cap, I was told that was a steering from a falcon they used what ever parts they had to make the car, I don't have a P.V.C. valve either I have a blow by pipe coming off the back on the engine and the oil fill is another pipe in the front not in the valve cover. it was built July 6 1964
