Is it Rare?

Asked by vinjan Aug 02, 2017 at 05:35 PM about the 1964 Ford Mustang Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I have a 1964 1/2 Mustang
vin number 5F07U210003
It is absolutely mint with 13,872 miles showing on odometer.
It appears it was painted just because it's metallic Grey with red interior.
It has a 170 inline 6 cylinder in it, automatic.
The car I repeat is like its brand new.
I just drove it home today.
Can anyone tell me anything about it?
It was an estate sale.

On that site, you can add in the numbers from the tag under the hood for additional info.

Nice car. I think it is a recent restoration.

I can't tell when it was restored but I found a car show document that says original motor, transmission, date stamped ford rims, original jack, owners manual, seat belts(rare), original radio blank plate, etc. The undercarriage looks as if it is new and the trunk, engine compartment etc. is in showroom condition. I can't verify the mileage. The guys dead who owned it and he hauled it to car shows. He was in his 90's

I found the vin on door and vin on frame and both match. It was built on July 16, 64 Dearborn, Michigan appears to have a full restoration but original 170CI 6 cylinder, Cruise-O-Mtic Transmission, wheel discs, Radio Delete Plate, Exterior Color Code K, Optional Rocker Panel Moldings, Date Code 16G(July 16th) denotes 64 1/2, axel code "3" 3.2:1 ratio, original seat belts, original car jack, all 5 wheels stamped Ford 64 date code, spotless under carriage, excellent chrome and trim, reproduction owners manual, etc. I'm going to sell this on Ebay if anyone knows of someone interested. Production sequence 210003

I would guess it is worth $15 - $25,000. If you can get a Marty report and it verifies the car is correct in every detail it will help the value. If it is a show winner in a Mustang of America club sanctioned show it will also help quite a bit.
