Never had any problems before.  Turned on AC, blows HOT air as if the heat is on instead of the AC.  (No, I do not have the heat on accidentally).

At first it sounded like it was turning on, now nothing. Would love to have an easy fix. Super hot here.

Can I just put the Freon back in? or I guess it will leak again if I try that.

You have to distinguish if the AC is blowing ambient (across the AC evap coil, whether they are working or not) air versus HOT air coming across the heater core. Granted, outside ambient air may be hot as it is hot outside, but not air-coming-across-a-heater-core hot. That is a symptom of a broken blend door/actuator. After checking the AC compressor is in fact turning on and not faulty, check the operation of the blend door.

It actually feels like it is blowing heat like I would have running in the winter. Not just outside ambient air but HOT. Even when ambient outside air is cooler down near 70 and not 97.

Will have to visit the neighborhood garage. Thank you for the suggestions. Just don't want to be taken for huge amount of money just because I'm not sure what is wrong.
