start but won't

Should check the fuel pressure, could be low fuel pressure.

The fuel pressure is good. Tried starting fluid in throttle body. Did not start but did back fire though the throttle body.
Could be the timing is off, say the timing correlation between sensors. What size is this engine?
I suppose you wouldn't have access to a scanner, code reader would you? So I'm thinking either the crankshaft sensor or the camshaft sensor. Usually it is the crankshaft sensor that goes bad. You want to make sure the wiring is good to each of these sensors.
