2007 Impala SS transmission

Car won’t drive when gear select is placed in Overdrive or Drive.Car will go in
gear 2 and reverse. What could be the problem?

Check the linkage , a clip may have popped off or something , Take it to a tranny shop it may only be a sensor or something simple

Those transmissions can't stand up to the power of the motor.
