Tow hooks on the front of 2007 Ford Explorer LTD

That's a question for the Ford designers. They may have eliminated them as an option because of weight, because they did not receive many orders for them, or for some styling or practicality reason. I know exactly what you're referring to but I can't tell you what was going through the designer's heads when they eliminated them.

None of the Explorers have tow hooks any longer. The tow hooks were an option on earlier models and I believe the designers found most 4x4's turned into suburban yuppiemobiles rather than actual off road machines. I added the tow hooks onto my 2001 Explorer myself and they are still available through many of the parts houses that stock OEM Ford parts. Of course, you can use aftermarket tow hooks or rings as well. Problem, as you already know, is attaching them in a manner that won't destroy all the plastic if you have to use them to actually tow your vehicle out of the muck.

Can 2004 Ford Explorer Limited Edition be towed behind a motorhome and how so how is it done I went to a couple places and they told me that it cannot be done at all
