The boot of the convertible, opens from the latch on the back. I would assume, given your limited information, that the latch itself is faulty. You may be able to find one for an 07 in a recycle yard. However, you would have to change the tumbler from the old one to the used one. I truly hope that this is your issue. Let me know !
