Windshield wipers have stopped working

After having the windshield replaced on my 2009 VW Jetta the wipers have stopped working, though I can hear the
motor. Is there a simple fix for this or will I need to take it in for service?

I spect that when they removed the wiper arms from the pivots that they inadvertantly popped the ball socket off the wiper motor crank arm . unless you are ambidexterious or at least very flexible ,it would be easyer to go to a shop . they can pop it right back on for you in a jffy ... PBN
I'm having the same issue with my 2009 jetta Wolfsburg. The wiper started going slow when I had them set on high then they finally stopped working all togeather. I replaced the motor but they still won't work!
2008 vw jetta, 2.5L, 5 cylinder automatic....my wiper blades stopped working after changing out headlights...car was bought used and feel they have miswired some things....is there an easy fix?
