Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just replaced with a new battery and alternator a couple of months ago. Lately,
I get in truck and I get this clicking in the dashboard, and the engine won't start.
everything lights up, cd player makes this moving sound then stops, I try again
to start sometimes it turns over sometimes not. Today I got in truck its
completely powerless nothing. Is this a starter or electrical problem?

Well it sounds like the battery is worn down, low on charge, you may have a bad alternator going on, or some bad battery cables or connections. Check the battery connections, may have to clean them up, and have the charging system checked.

The Batttery is basically new , got alternator same day, cause that blew up old battery. I called my local repair shop and told them what you had suggested to look for. Ok! Problem solved now! I called AAA to pick truck up to tow to my local repair shop, and the guy asked me what the problem was, I told him no power he popped the hood, we looked at battery and he said your cable is coming out, no connetion thats why! He opened up and repositioned cable and tighten up. All power back! YEA! Thanks anyway for your advice! AAA tow man to my rescue! :)

I did mention bad battery connections, all you would have to do is look.

Also that battery cable you are talking about should be changed out. Those types of clamps are just band-aids. On a new cable you would not see any wires sticking out at all.
