Dash warning lights

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 2006 chevy trailblazer LS
today with 70k miles on it.  Test drove it
and everything seemed fine to me.  On the
way home the ABS, Parking Brake,
Maintenance Required and the Traction
Control light came on.  It still runs fine and I
contacted the previous owners and they
said they hadn't had any problems
whatsoever with the vehicle.  Is this a
common occurrence and what is the
solution?

Thank you, I just checked my VIN# on the GM site and there is an active recall, it is a drivers door control module

That's the recall about a circuit board and a potential fire issue if it shorts out. Would not wait to long before you get it fixed.

Yeah I'm not gonna wait around to find out, gonna call the dealership tomorrow and see if it has been fixed or not

That's good. You know it's serious when in the recall wording they ask owners to park outside till a remedy fix is made. Good luck. Hope you can get it fixed.

From what I have read possibly bad abs module. Only repair I have found is to replace the module. This is for an 06 but might also pertain to yours. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/118988-c0550-help/
