On the dash, the control knob for the fan is in the off position but runs continuously.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I don't have to turn the fan on, it begins when I start my 2003 Pontiac Montana.  I can't
control the amount of air flow either.  It's in the off position and when I move it from 1 to 5
settings, the air flow doesn't change.  Could the switch be bad or a fuse or resistor?  My
A/C works, heat works and I can change where the air comes out, just can't turn it off.
Any help would be appreciated.

Check fan speed knob, make sure its not worn and free wheeling. If knob is OK, which would be good thing as far as cost, then its the fan switch behind the knob....good luck.
