Manual adjustment of clock time.

Asked by Guru9H8VCQ Nov 23, 2021 at 01:33 AM about the 2004 Acura TL FWD with Navigation

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After losing my battery connection, I can no longer adjust the clock manually.  It resets to 1:00 each time the battery is disconnected & reconnected.

After asking this question here, I was able to also ask it of Acura. The person I spoke to said their engineering section was researching it and they'd get back to me. After a couple of months, I got a call and the person said they were still looking into it. A month or two after that, the problem "magically" resolved itself. The clock had the correct time and could be manually adjusted. I assume that Acura accomplished this by sending some sort of signal to my car's navigation system, or to all Acura navigation systems? I really don't know for sure. Just glad it works.
