Will headers and "catgut" removal help power and fuel mileage on 5.9 l in 2000 Dakota?

I have a 2000 Dakota with 360/5.9 l. I need to know if performance headers and cat
removal will help increase fuel mileage and horse power.

Yes it wil but if you're going through the effort to put headers on it remove the cats completely and put nice dual 3" pipes with flow masters on it.
