Yes disconnect the battery, remember you will need to reprogram the car after removing the battery. Other then that it straight forward like any other brake change, here is a you tube on the subject. https://www.google.com/url? sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv %3D4r4pPmLl5L0&ved=0ahUKEwj_pMWihbjJAhWBbSYKHUBgC MEQtwIIKTAC&usg=AFQjCNHFxc33RnWAcMz93ke5A0thggHo NQ
WHY would you want to work on that technological nightmare- they are made to be worked on by trained technicians ONLY- but go ahead, jump in if you must, just don't add to our growing mailbag of letters like this: "I tried to replace the engine covering on my 2014 Mercedes, now it won't start. Any ideas?"
You don’t need to reprogram the car after removing thé hybrid Battery
