Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so I have had an oil leak develop and it's gotten
pretty bad. It's leaking on the back side of the block
by the fire wall  (keep in mind it's fwd car) and the y
pipe is covered in oil but I can't see much of any
thing back there bc it's so tight. I'm not very familiar
with mopar vehicles can any one give me a few
ideas of the common leaks from that areabefore I
start tearing it apart? Oh it's got 160,000

Valve cover gaskets, or oil pressure sending unit.

Although unlikely it could be a head gasket leaking oil externally. I would clean the area with some degreaser and wash it. Then I would try to find the leak.

Well I have no doubt that the oil pressure sensor is leaking but my exhaust is smoking now I'm thinking I've got both but in terms of external leak it's not the head gasket. But internally there is defiantly a head gasket leaking oil into cylinder. What do you think

Just need to change out the oil pressure sending unit to see if that is why the light comes on. If you had a mechanical oil pressure gauge while doing this, you could verify the oil pressure. As far as oil getting into the cylinder, it would either be getting in from the intake manifold gasket, or threw the valve seals, or pulling it up pass the piston rings.
