I have a 2008 Ford Escape XLT V6. About a year ago I had the front sway bar link, outer tie rod end, and both left and right lower control arms replaced. About 2 months following the repair I noticed that the car was sticking once put in drive or reverse. By sticking I mean once in gear, it will not move unless given some gas, even on an incline. It will also make a loud rubbing noise from the front passenger side. I didn't need the car, got company vehicle, so I let it sit till I was ready to fix. Now I need it for my son. Any suggestions to this predicament? Thanks folks!

I've removed tire and I know I need new break pads. However, if I loosed the bleed line and move the car, the tension is gone. The break line seems to be working just fine when I move the caliper with the bleed open so that's not it. Could it be the caliper itself? The pistons slide nicely as well.

Maybe the flex hose is bad. They can deteriorate inside and block the fluid movement.

First of all it is brakes NOT breaks. Secondly it is either the caliper or the brake hose. I would replace both and properly bleed the brakes.

First, thanks Bob for correcting my spelling of "brakes" I know being word perfect is important while getting assistance in a diagnosis. Ill remember next time to spell check anything else I place on here. Just for you Bob. Secondly, I replaced the caliper and "brake" hose. I also went ahead and replaced both rotors and new pads. Problem solved. Thanks for all your help guys, even you Bob!
