2008 ford escape hybrid no crank?no start? anti theft on

The car worked fine until we changed the battery afterwards, it seems the anti theft kicked in and now it won't start.

The car battery is new. The lights and everything works but  But it won't start or crank. Tried fiddling with power cable  as other posters mentioned. But it's not starting

Were you able to fix it? If no, you may want to check the wires.
