2008 Nissan Altima makes loud noise when started

08 Nissan Altima, makes a loud noise when engine starts, still fine. Folks at
Good Year lifted it up, there is a small 2" hole on the bottom long pipe, (i believe
it's the exhaustion pipe.) they quote me $450 to replace the hole. Are there any
cheaper alternatives such as welding/cover the hole. Car runs fine, don't feel
loose of acceleration.

Order the part online and then have a local muffler shop install it. Repairing aluminized steel is not worth the headache and labor would cost same as or more than the install of a new part.

A muffler shop should be able to fix this for less than $450.
