Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car went completely dead after trying to jump
start it. Could it be my alternator or electrical. You
can hear sounds like it has a little power

Are any warning lights on the instrument panel illuminated? Have the battery charged and tested. Then have the charging system tested. Most autoparts stores will do this as a free service. If you are handy and own a voltmeter then get it running and check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. There should be 13.2 to 14.6 volts at the battery engine running if the alternator is charging properly.
