I have a Ford Edge limited 2008 and when I'm on the freeway 60mph or more when I break it shakes is that normal or what should I get fixed?

You might have a warped rotor. It's not normal and you should get it fixed. When you look at the rotor check also the caliper bolts are tightened correctly. FYI, the rotor is the "disc" in disc brakes. When it is warped the brake pads & caliper (which 'squeeze' it to apply braking) will make the brake pedal or steering "pulse" or shake during braking. Changing it is a fairly simple straightforward operation, you can DIY or have a brake shop do it for a nominal fee.
