2008 EOS-When I turn the ignition, the red solid power steering light comes on. Once the ignition turns over, the light disappears. There us definite hesitation in it turnng over. Is it going out

If you mean the engine hesitates when turning over (at ignition), you might get your battery checked for current capacity. If never replaced since 2008, it is definitely overdue. Most of those status lights will light up during the ignition sequence then extinguish. It is possible a weak battery could lengthen the time one or more remains lit. Start with the easy stuff...get a good battery.

I had the battery replaced about a yr and a half ago. Could that still be it?
Not likely, but you might have the battery tested just in case.
At this point, a diagnosis by the dealer is the next step...it could be a sensor... Could be the power steering unit...or even the computer.
