Grinding noise

Asked by Kai7600 Aug 15, 2016 at 03:47 PM about the 2008 Mazda MAZDA3 i Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hear a grinding noise coming from the front wheels
so I thought I would change the brake pads. After
taking off the old pads they still appear to have
some life left in them, but I changed them anyway.
Drove around the block and the grinding noise is
still there (it's been about a week since changing
the pads). Grinds when braking and also when I
begin driving from a stop. Car is a 2008 Mazda 3.

bearing and race tq. wer/are all good....and is there a brake warning tag bent?

I haven't checked the bearings yet (we have some weather at the moment) but I was going to check them. Not sure what a brake warning tag is though.
