How many miles since you put in plugs? Is everything back together properly? I had a vehicle that called for iridium plugs.Mechanic put in Platinum. It ran fine for about 300 miles, then ran rough, etc
Just had plugs replaced and started running rough right away. Code machine now showsp0300..random misfire..was showing plug 5 before. Wondering if i bought a faulty plug maybe. Never stalled until new plugs put in never idles rough either..so frustrated
Does this car have a "coil pack?" or the plug wires contain individual coils?
3.3 and 3.8 have a coil pack.4.0 has individual coils. I highly doubt you have a 4.0 Make sure everything was put back properly. No loose wires,no disconnected hoses.etc. Make sure the wires are in the proper firing order. If everything is good,Im thinking the coil pack failed. This is common. It probably partially failed, creating missfire in cyl.5 only, and now has crapped out. Its only about $25 on line.
