2009 murano transmission issue
Asked by William Nov 04, 2020 at 09:15 PM about the 2009 Nissan Murano SL
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I was driving my 2009 murano and it went into limp
mode and wouldnt go over 10 mph it threw a code
for cam shaft sensor so I replaced them now the
car moves and rpm raises when stepping on the
gas but now when driving it, it will not shift out of
first gear to second. What could the issue be.
Maybe the shift solenoid?

You probably have a Nissan CVT which is the worst transmission ever made. Odds are you need a new transmission.
Yea it is a cvt I was told it may be the solenoid but not sure if it would be worth trying to replace it

I've had my CVT replaced, problems still there. Had a recall on the air intake boot. Replaced the boot, and the problems were solved. Nissan's are temperamental as heck and one sensor goes out throws everything off and cost tons of money instead of a $30 problem.
