2008 envoy won't come out of four wheel drive

My blazer wouldnt kick out of four wheel drive either. We had to disable the $X$ Because the transmission fluid was leaking between the seal and the transfer case, causing pressure to build up in the 4x4 tranny and we burnt it up. Runs great now that we disabled it :)

How did you disable it? My 2007 Envoy has the same problem.
