Symptoms of a ignition switch going bad.
Sounds like a bad battery cable connection. Make sure your battery cables are clean and tight at both ends. Put Vaseline on the battery cables where they connect to the battery to prevent corrosion. Hope that helps! Jim

I found on another site by asking "What problems can happen with a bad ignition switch on a 2008 GMC Envoy?". It listed almost everything that My SUV was doing. And it was free. "Sounds like a bad battery cable connection." This sounds like a general computer reply. The answer implies not reading all my comments on all the problems or just guessing. Ordered the ignition switch 7 hours ago, and it has been installed and working great for the past 3 hours. Thanks for replying.
I'm glad you found the problem. Thanks for letting us know! I'm not a computer and I can assure you I did read your question thoroughly. I have had vehicles go dead and sometimes do crazy things that were caused by a bad battery cable connection. Sometimes it is difficult to diagnose some problems without the vehicle in front of you. Again, it is appreciated that you took the time to tell us your vehicle is fixed and how you fixed it. But keep your negative comments to yourself! Especially when someone is trying to help you! Thank you! Jim

Sorry, I should have typed/read then deleted....Thank you for your time. Again sorry, in the moment I just took the answer as if I was not very smart (Sorry you got my frustration, I ever should have done that). I defiantly checked all connections and any 12-volt connection would reset lights. I should have explained better, (ex. "battery not bad" to more like "battery not bad and I have checked all battery connections and cables.") Jim, thank you for your time and for calling me out on my internet etiquette, I deserved lt. Have a Blessed Evening.
Thank you for your reply! It's ok, we all get frustrated sometimes especially when we need our vehicle to get to work, school, or other important places and it's having a problem! Once again I'm very happy you are back on the road! Please feel free to come back again! You have a blessed day as well!! Jim
GMC2008SLT, keep a spare AC Delco one with you, I do. I also keep a spare HDM headlight relay, and a transmission linkage bushing, all pretty common to go out on our platform and leave you stranded. There's more, lol, but those are the basic must have's.
