why can i not turn the key on in the ignition even when you turn the wheel

if you cant start the truck, even if you "wiggle" the wheel, there is something wrong. It being a 2008 it will/should be under warranty. Get the truck towed (you should have roadside service included with the truck) to the dealer and get them to look at it. Best of luck, hope this helps.

Agreed, some of the recent GM vehicles have had issues with the ignition/park interlock switch. Make sure the transmission is fully in park and try again. No reason a Dodge couldn't have similar issues.
