I have a 530i 07 and have had 2 engine malfunction warning lights in the last 12 months and now an Engine Fault! Reduced Power error. Is this a common fault?

Thanks for your reply, have managed to get this resolved. Just turned out to be another problem (fuel pump)!

for a 530i? or 535i? if in fact it is a 530 i bet there missing something and will be fault will be back.let me know if it happens again

these are the pretty common errors. ans these are the maintenance issues. if u maintain them properly, u won't get these kinda issues easily. do some basic engine related troubleshoot. if the issue persists, take the vehicle to a dealer. http://bmw5series.net/2011-gran-turismo-interior-specs/

I have an 2007 525i BMW, just hit 100,000 miles. I bought it in 2009 (certified Pre Owned) from an BMW dealer. It had 36,000 miles. It is now all mine. All paid off. Started having issues with it jerking and slipping gears last month i was told i needed a new transmission at the cost of around $4000. (at my local mechanics shop) I've kept it in mint condition and its beautiful and did i mention it's paid off!My dilemma is repairing it at the cost and mileage of my car or selling it and getting a new car and start paying again? 4 Answers

Do i spend the money to repair or give up on it? Im afraid the engine will need tlc soon and i have to invest more money!!

Hey guys new here. Question, ?? I have a 2001 Bmw 530i and have had in for repair at two different shops and they cant figure why my car will lose power after 4200 rpms it fees like it just falling flat on its face. then after I let off the gas and bring the rpms down it drives fine. It has a new fuel pump and has had the fuel filter changed about 40k ago, There are No check engine lights on , No codes, and the car has 170K on it,... Help Help, Thanks guys 6 Answers
