Car was hit in the left back quarter panel and shifts
thru park drive and reverse but when you give it
gas it does nothing and is high idled the whole
time

I have a 2008 cobalt, and it only has forward gears. Reverse is not working, the car will jumps like it wants to work, but it doesn't. Any ideas of what this could be? 1 Answer
My car would rev up to 3 RPM if not higher at times before taking off in drive. I think my transmission was slipping before.
