Gmc wont start

My gmc won't start at times I have to let it sit on
auxiliary until all the lights on the dash board come
on then it starts for me please if anyone knows
what the issue is I have kids and worry everytime I
try to start the car that we will be stranded if it
helps I'm  also having an issue with my headlights
when I first purchased the vehicle the car would
start no problem the head lights would come on
right when I started it and the would gradually get
brighter automatically now it won't do that and if I
need headlights on I have to use my brights which
really pisses of other drivers.

Look to your ignition switch that may be the problem for the dash lights not coming on and not starting, possibly that. The headlights is an easy fix a 2yo can do. It's the low beam headlight relay under the hood. There's actually a recall on this. Replace the relay, I believe it's #46. I always keep a spare relay in my glovebox, yep, it's that common.
