price increase on a car I'm interested

Question type: Shopping & Pricing
originally listed for 16,900. and now listed for 18,500. On cargurus for 106
days. Does this mean I might be able to negotiate down to 16,900?
I have not purchased a car through cargurus before.

Oh, also, three weeks ago, this car was listed for $16,400. Do you think the dealership did work on it? Why would the price have increased?
The problem with MOST online car shopping websites is they pull from inventory the following day, before the vehicle has gone through service or anything. 106 days before a price increase sounds like they didn't have a retail price set so it pulled the cost on it.
Check if the car changed dealerships; sometimes it will be listed for more at the new dealership (who might well have done more work on it).
